| Background | Human Interleukin-13 (IL-13) is expressed by the IL13 gene located on the chromosome 5 and secreted by many cell types, especially T helper type 2 (Th2) cells. The high solution from of IL-13 reported to be a monomer with two internal disulfide bonds that contribute to a bundled four α-helix configuration. Targeted deletion of IL-13 in mice resulted in impaired Th2 cell development and indicated an important role for IL-13 in the expulsion of gastrointestinal parasites. IL-13 exerts antiinflammatory effects on monocytes and macrophages and it inhibits the expression of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1beta, TNF-alpha, IL-6 and IL-8. IL-13 has also been shown to enhance B cell proliferation and to induce isotype switching resulting in increased production of IgE. Human, mouse and rat IL-3 share low homology, but have cross species activity. |

保存條件:
-20℃或更低溫度保存，至少一年有效。由于蛋白的每次凍融均會引起部分失活，所以配制成相應濃度的儲存液后(請根據產品簡介中Reconstitution一欄的信息配制儲存液)，須分裝后-20℃或更低溫度凍存，以避免反復凍融。
注意事項:
由于有些塑料管壁對某些蛋白有較強的吸附作用，溶液中的蛋白很容易粘附在管壁上，并且粘附后的蛋白很難與管壁分離。而載體蛋白(Carrier protein，如0.1% BSA等)的主要作用是預先封閉塑料管壁上的蛋白結合位點，使細胞因子或重組蛋白不會粘附于管壁。所以一定要使用產品簡介中Reconstitution一欄的信息配制儲存液。
本產品在凍干時添加了海藻糖作為保護劑，此時凍干后本產品看起來仍然像是液體，屬于正常現象。在凍干工藝上，海藻糖作為常用的凍干保護劑，可顯著阻止蛋白質二級結構的改變，防止凍干過程中的蛋白變性。
