99% mulberry Real silk Fabric
To identify real mulberry silk, look for the following characteristics:
- The texture is smooth and soft to the touch, with a slight graininess that is typical of natural silk fibers.
- The sheen is luminous and reflective, with a distinctive glow that sets it apart from other fabrics.
- The drape is fluid and luxurious, with a gentle weight that falls gracefully over the body.
- The weave is even and tight, with no visible snags, pulls, or loose threads.
If you are unsure whether a product is real or fake mulberry silk, you can perform a burn test to check the fibers.
Hold a small piece of the fabric over a flame, and observe how it behaves. Real silk will smell like burning hair and will produce a light ash that crumbles easily. Fake silk, on the other hand, will melt and stick together, leaving a hard, plastic-like residue.
