　　進口離心自吸泵在飲用水生產過程中，需要對水源進行輸送，比如將水源輸送到凈化過濾設備中；通常都會使用到水泵；由于凈化過濾設備，有些高度較高或者距離較遠，所以需要使用揚程較高的水泵，因此會使用到輕型立式多級離心泵；在實際使用時，由于輕型立式多級離心泵需要長時間使用，因此對運行的穩定性要求較高；能否穩定的工作，取決于很多因素，比如軸承處的溫度，葉輪的平衡，壓力的平衡，機械密封的溫度等；傳統的輕型立式多級離心泵，在控制軸承處的溫度和機械密封的溫度時，通常采用夾套或者增加散熱筋，夾套需要通入循環冷卻水，雖然也能夠很好的冷卻，但是需要保證夾套的密封性，而且結構變得復雜；此外，現有的離心泵體積較大，維修或檢修及其不便；水泵的對電機部位的密封性能不好，容易造成對電機的損壞，大大降低水泵使用壽命；水泵在啟動時直接啟動，對電機的磨損較為嚴重；水壓不足時泵容易空轉，降低水泵壽命
